This in-person workshop is modules #6-8 of the Athletics Club Coach Course for Jumps. It is designed for coaches who work with athletes over the age of 15 in the jumping events. It falls into the NCCP Competition Pathway.
In addition to learning advanced technical progressions for all of the jumping events, coaches will also learn age-appropriate strength training and how to put together a seasonal training plan specific to the jumps.
LOCATION, DATE & TIME: at Strathcona HS in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday April 27th from 9:30a-6:00p and on Sunday April 28th from 9:30a-6:00p.
For modules #1-4 of the Athletics Club Coach Course for Jumps, coaches should take "Foundations of Coaching" prior to attending this workshop. The FOC is an online line course and it is being offered on April 1st, 4th, 8th & 11th from 7:30-9:30pm.
Module #5 is called "Introduction to Long-Term Development in Athletics". It is an eLearning module located in the Locker under Athletics. It too should be taken as a prerequisite prior to attending the Club Coach for Jumps Workshop.
