Bowman nears finish line with Lancers

Fifth-year sprinter Aaron Bowman is nearing the finish line of his university racing career with the Windsor Lancers.
The 22-year-old Bowman graduates this spring, but he’s hoping to leave his mark in the school record books before going.
The defending CIS men’s 60-metre champion is looking to break the school mark in that race held by O’Brian Gibbons, who set the mark in 1993 at 6.63 seconds.
“It’s my last year and I figured I might as well have fun by running it and trying to improve my 60 time,” Bowman said. “I’ve been training equal for the 300 and the 60 and I’m pretty confident going in.
“The burn feeling at the end (of the 300 metres), is something I’m not used to, but I will be as I keep running it.”
