2020 Indoor Season Youth Program - Blue Devils Athletic Club

INDOOR SEASON (4-13 yrs)

The Indoor Season or the "Competition phase" provides the opportunity to specify further into track and field events. We will continue to build on a strong aerobic base, and now we will place a greater emphasis on speed and efficiency with technical movement patterns. We will introduce the athletes to effective tactics for racing and competition. We will primarily focus on:

*Base aerobic and anaerobic fitness
*Biomechanics and technique training
*Speed and speed endurance development
*Race strategy and confidence building
*Proper warmup and cooldown
*Injury prevention methods

We have a variety of program options to allow you to customize your athlete's participation with their own schedule. To maximize their potential we really want to push to see the athletes a minimum of 2 days a week. As always, extra/bonus days will be added if extra training is needed.

LOCATION 1 - Variety Village
Start Date: November 18, 2019
End Date: March 27, 2020
Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Time: 5:15-6:30pm

LOCATION 2 - Monarch Park Stadium
Start Date: November 19, 2019
End Date: March 26, 2020
Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 5:15-6:30pm

LITTLES PROGRAM (ages 4-6)
Our Active Start program will continue to be offered on Fridays at Variety Village. This is geared for our youngest athletes to get an introduction to everything we do! This will be from 5:15-6:15pm and led by Coach Daphne.

*Note: there is a separate facility fee required during the Indoor Season to use both Monarch Park Stadium and Variety Village
