CRC Emergency First-Aid with CPR "C" Blended Learning (OFA Level 1 Equivalent) - This fun and interactive 4 hours online and 4 hours in-class course trains people how to react and improvise during time priority, life threatening emergencies. This course covers initial assessment, disease prevention, secondary survey, airway obstruction, adult/child/infant CPR, and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator. This course also includes recognition and first-aid treatment for head and spine injuries, shock, bleeds, , heart attacks, strokes, and other medical conditions may be addressed. Participants spend the majority of the course doing hands on first-aid training. By practicing with scenarios students gain confidence and learn to react and improvise in emergency situations. This course is accepted by WorkSafeBC as an Occupational First Aid Level 1 equivalency.

The online component covers care for adults, children, and babies. The classroom component will focus on developing the participant’s skills. The instructor will know that participants have completed the online component, and won’t spend as much time on the background information that is covered here.

Participants must successfully complete both the online and the classroom components to be certified in Emergency First-Aid with CPR C.
