Judo Saskatchewan is proud to host the 2nd Virtual Kata Championship enabling kata competitors to take part at provincial event through a virtual format.

*Sanctioned by Judo Saskatchewan

REGISTRATION FEE:
One kata team member will register all pertinent team information and submit registration fee.

~$20 per team/per set for Kodomo no kata
~$40 per team/per kata U16, U23, Senior

Pairs can register for an unlimited number of kata. However, a competitor can only participate in one age division per kata based on tori’s age.

DIVISIONS
To take part in a division, both tori and uke must meet the requirements of that age division in season 2022/2023. A competitor may participate in an older division with a partner who qualifies for that older division. An older competitor may not compete in a younger division.

-U14: children born in 2010 and later.
-U16: children born in in 2008-2010.
-U23: athletes born in, 2001 and 2007.
-Senior: athletes born in 2007 and earlier.

*A pair can participate in an older division if a kata is not offered in their age division.
*Participants will have the opportunity to perform in more than one kata as either uke or tori. However, the same pair can only enter a particular kata once per age division.
*The pairs may be any combination of two people. *There are no gendered divisions.

All participants in Kodomo no Kata will be rewarded with medals. The intention of this format of event is to introduce children to a more formal event environment and expose them to competitive experience that allows for extended learning.
A participant that enters and successfully completes all 7 sets of Kodomo no Kata will be presented with a custom Provincial Championship GOLD medal!
