Other Information

Welcome to the Virtual Canada Day Mile Race.

In an effort to serve our community and provide some support to the Kingston Interval House, we are happy to present this virtual event. This event is not a true KRRA race event and is not intended to be a replacement for the Canada Day Limestone Mile Race. No KRRA series points will be awarded for this event. The revenue from the race will be split between a donation to Kingston Interval House, prizes, and a donation to KRRA programs. Runners Choice gift cards may be given to top male and female finishes depending on whether we have enough registrants. I will announce the details in the days leading up to the event.

Runners are responsible for their own safety. Please abide by all traffic regulations and adhere to guidelines regarding physical distancing issued by the Provincial and Municipal public health authorities.

Once you register, you will receive a confirmation message where you can input your results by either linking GPS data from your run or uploading a picture of your GPS device screen. Results will be available within two days following the event.

Please refrain from running on any trails or tracks that have been closed. Runners may not run on the Limestone Mile course. Any run recorded on the Limestone Mile course or in an area which is closed due to COVID-19 will be disqualified. Since this is only 1 mile, I strongly recommend running this event on pathways or in parks where there is no traffic and or intersections to cross. If you find that there are others running or walking where you plan to run your mile, please wait until you can safely physical distance yourself. We will to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Lastly, given that many people may not be able to leave their homes for various reasons, virtual treadmill runs (i.e. Zwift) will be permissible but will be denoted by Asterix in results. Other results without GPS data will be admissible in the same way but will not be eligible for prizes.
