To participate in Fort Henry 5kxc and 1k Kids races, I accept all rules and regulations of the event and will comply fully with them. I am aware that a run of 1 kilometers and/or 5 kilometers cross country may be extremely difficult and hazardous even for well-conditioned athletes under the most favourable conditions. I am also aware of the risk of crummy weather and sloppy trails ["adverse weather and trail conditions"], which may accompany the event on the day of my participation. I understand that I should not participate in this event unless: 1) I am in excellent physical condition, 2) I have trained adequately for this event, and 3) I have no medical condition that might be worsened by vigorous activity. *** COVID-19 *** : You guarantee that should you acquire COVID-19 or exhibit any symptoms and you have registered for an 'in-person' event, you will not appear at the event on race day. You will not be provided a refund or deferral. Knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive, release and discharge Fort Henry 5kxc and 1k Kids Races and all its officials, volunteers (including medical volunteers), Canadian Forces Base Kingston or any other persons involved in the event from any and all claims of liability, damages with respect there to. This release extends to all claims of every kind and nature whether foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown. I declare that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in Fort Henry Race and assume all risks associated with such participation. Further, I also agree to abide by the decision of race officials regarding my continuing in Fort Henry Race whether based on failure to comply to rules or any other reason.
