DIGITAL WAIVER AND RELEASE

RELEASE, WAIVER, PHOTO CONSENT AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of my entry and permission to participate as an entrant, competitor, spectator, or otherwise, and to have photographs taken at the 2026 RCL District F Ontario Provincial Qualifier and AO Summer Games Qualifier, to be held on June 13, 2026, I agree as follows:

1. Release and Waiver of Liability

I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby release, waive, and forever discharge:

• The Royal Canadian Legion – Ontario Command
• Royal Canadian Legion District F
• The City of Belleville
• Eclipse Track and Field Inc.
• Quinte Legion Track Club
• Athletics Ontario
• Cathy Barry
• All affiliated associations, sanctioning bodies, sponsoring organizations
• And all respective directors, officers, officials, volunteers, employees, agents, contractors, representatives, successors and assigns

(collectively referred to as “the Released Parties”)

from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions or causes of action, whether in law or equity, arising from death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property, however caused, arising out of or related to my participation in this event, whether occurring before, during, or after the event.

This release applies even if such injury, loss, or damage is caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Released Parties.

2. Indemnification

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, losses, or expenses arising from or related to my participation in the event.

3. Fitness to Participate

I represent and warrant that I am physically fit, properly trained, and medically able to participate in this event.

4. Acknowledgment

By submitting my entry and completing registration, I confirm that:

• I have read this Release, Waiver, and Indemnity Agreement;
• I fully understand its terms;
• I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue; and
• I agree to be bound by its terms voluntarily and without coercion.

PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE

I grant permission to The Royal Canadian Legion – Ontario Provincial Command and District F to photograph, record, and use images and/or video of me taken during the 2026 RCL District F Ontario Provincial Qualifier.

I authorize the use of my name, image, likeness, and voice for purposes including but not limited to:

• Event promotion
• Ceremonies and presentations
• Publications (print and digital)
• Social media
• Broadcasts and telecasts
• Press releases
• The Legion Magazine
• Promotional materials related to The Royal Canadian Legion and/or Legion Provincial Track and Field Championships

I understand that these materials may be used without compensation.
