Why is it so hard to find RESULTS? I don't want to see the live stream again I would like the team results and the list of individual results. Shouldn't be this hard. Although probably right in front of my nose.

    Bruchet = Beast

That was impressive. Not to take anything away from MacDougall, Sumner, Lumb who all ran awesome races (and the youth as well), but he absolutely manhandled the best of the rest Canada had to offer right from the gun. #madrespect

Can't believe there isn't a way for the AC race commentators to be able to identify the racers during the race.

How early in the race did he pull away from the field? I was on soccer dad duties and was unable to watch.

Bruchet and CPT took off from the gun. They went through 1.5k in approx 4:16 on my watch with Esselink and Gillis about 5 sec back and the main pack another 4-5 behind Gillis and Esselink

Did you use the pylons by the lift for the ~1.5k mark? I thought the same and got lead women ~4:55; there was a big pack with no one pushing early on. But sub-3:20/k for first 1.5k doesn't make any sense given their ~5k split of 17-mid.

That was awesome to see Bruchet and CPT hammer from the gun and never let up!

Edit: nevermind, the pylons had nothing to do with 1k/1.5k markings, that's a rock further along that wasn't marked in any form on race day.

Agreed. Was told on another thread that the "master list of entries" would be no good to recognize runners. The "names" would be big enough to read. Sure; the ACXC lettering was the same size font making it difficult to separate it from the names. The best time to read the names was at the finish line. Was hoping to "catch" runners on the course as they were not likely to be at the top. Athletes names should be visible at all times, then the bib number.

Could not help but notice that it took them a long time to identify and mention number 2 runner in the U20 girls. She was in the top 5 right from the start. I believe they had to scramble to "dig up" her background. And yes her name is a mouthful; so what. I believe she will do well at NACAC and at Arizona.

I expect the naysayers and critics to jump all over my comments. Bring it on.

    Yup...
John Halvorsen did it a few times, 1987 - 1990...not sure if it was all those years, but definitely 2-3. I remember him winning by 40+ seconds.
Paul McCloy I believe did as well...and Rich Charette in '91 pulled away after 5k, of which he lead.
Jason Bunston lead wire to wire, pulling away from Jeff Schiebler in the mid 90's and I'm sure there have been a few others.

Those pylons near the lift were not all close to the 1.5 km point on the 2.5k loop (nor close to the 1 km point in the 2k loop). In fact, those pylons with the mat were set up around 100m short of that.

There is no one should be naysaying this, because it is absolutely valid. This is an issue going back several years since I have followed the AC livestream and I am surprised it can't be solved somehow.
Could the AC TV announcers not be given a list of all competitors listing name, age, province and club team?
Could each competitor not be given a number(as well as their last name) on their bib, so that cross-checking them with the list could be done?
Last year, someone suggested the commentators get binoculars to at least be able to see the name on the bib. I am surprised something like this wasn't tried.
Knowing names and being able to identify the athletes is just a small thing that would add a lot to the broadcast.

I agree i wartch a lot of race feeds and the announcers are not very well informed abt anyone beyond the favorite.. They only do cursery comments on who is leading. They need to know top 10 or so runners and their backgrounds races they won etc.

About anyone beyond their own favourites, especially evident in the junior races. I understand Brogan is in a league of her own but to not even name Jennie or the other girls running up front, only sporadically in reference to Brogan is unacceptable. Same with junior men's race, until last lap announcer had pretty much given the win to random guy without mention of the ones that did place top 5.
