  Why would anyone care if a underage athlete is able, willing and ready to compete against the competition whose level he or she is at? I say congratulations to any 15 year old that is able to compete and challenge 18-25 year old "men"! WELCOME to anyone that age that has the talent and the guts to run against mature men. Well ... maybe all of them are not mature...
  If we want to provide competition to the World ... and we do not have a ton of that kind of talent ... and God Bless They That are 15-17 and can compete and beat 19-27 year olds. Do we want to have the odd male of female stand on the podium to accept a Gold meddle in the Mile! Or any event? Those rare ... very rare ... very, very, very rare ... athletes that have the talent and the guts to go there .... should be a darned open freeeeeak door for them. If not .... maybe they get bored at running 1:50 for the 800 at 15 .... and quit to play soccer!!! Its not fair for a 20 year old man ... or woman, to sneak in and compete against 16 year olds just so they can say .."oooaaaawww" look at ME .... and my "GOOOOOOLLLLLLLDDDDD" MEDAL!!! That kind of persona we just do not want or need in our sport. Any .... 15 year old WOMAN ... that can run the mile in 4:29 ... should be able to train and compete against the best in Canada. What do you "ALL THAT ARE READING THIS SAY?"

  A young athlete that has extraordinary talent ... should be able to move up to Open for the good of the athlete and for Canadian Track and Field. In the end ... this is not kindergarden ... it is International, Elite, World Competition. And "anyone" that is legal, (as in IE not a man trying to compete as a women ... which has been tried before), and qualifies according to the "high standards" of Athletics Canada ... should be able to compete for a chance to earn a spot on the world stage. And if that athlete happens to be 14!!!??? Thay the freak ' n better be able to if they desire with all their heart. And thats "ALL" I've got to say about that! (Gump).
