With NCAA Champ and others we should have a mens 4x800 why not ? Other NCAA athletes compete.

Most NCAA teams would be weary of lending out an athlete right before conference, regionals, and nationals.

Villanova lent or allowed, whatever you want to call it, both Jordy Williamz & Sam McEntee to Australia for last years edition.

Like I said, most schools, most of the time. It also depends on the circumstance. Syracuse decided to redshirt Justyn Knight and have him go to world cross this year.

This is understandable; they're paying a lot of money, and entirely subsidizing the lives of these athletes for 4-5 years.

Late April through early June is primetime for the NCAA. And if you're a nationally relevant, potential All-American, it's hard to justify the risk of sending someone to the Bahamas. When AD's are evaluating a head coach's performance, they're not going to be blown away with excitement that one of their athletes got named to some DMR (Olympics is a different story). They want conference champions, All-Americans, and national champions.

Villanova is unique in that they seem to care about nothing outside of Penn Relays.

They have put in a mens 4x200m. The are on the entry lists, it's just the 4x100 team and Tremaine.
Any insight as to why our best 2 800m women are there?

Melissa Bishop is opening her season at Payton Jordan... good reason why she's not there.
