Are you sure? I heard the University of Alabama at Birmingham is joining the AUS.

"I don't know if this is troll or not.. if it is, jokes on me but:

First of all, track times are nearly always irrelevant in cross country. The only track time that is ok to point out from these guys is Rawling's 14:16 because it is just that impressive . Basically all others do not matter.
Secondly, if you are going to bring up track times, why are you only talking about high school times?? This ain't high school anymore and I don't really care if Lee beat Tate in grade 11, or how close Dewolfe was to Tate in grade 9, or whatever peverill ran in grade 8. If you're going to make the mistake of thinking track times are relevant, at least give us something that they've run recently."

Hey, I think my predictions were pretty damn good bud. No one is stopping you from putting your preds up. I just gave out some of their times that they ran years ago as interesting facts. Come on bud I'm sure a lot of guys are really interested to see what these guy's times were 5+ years ago.

Dude is only 60 years young, but word has it he ran a 4:02 1500m in grade 10 (1972). I'd say that's good for the W. Sorry Angus.

    2. Beefy Beef: guy is a business administration student but is always down for a political chat! Loves burgers and lasagna.
    3. Double Dutchoven: guy got his nickname from what he did to two young vet students on the car ride to class this past year. Filthy! Good looking guy though.

I can't believe I'm explaining this, but you used half decade old times (or completely irrelevant factoids) to predict your results (e.g. "Matt Power has potential to do well evidenced by his 3rd place race at Dal last fall"). Ok...so what have any of them done recently?

Aerobic Monster said 1 day ago

    1) Dewolfe - Guy is a straight up Cross grinding beauty. He can take on the best of the best in a 20k grind it out long run. Ran the most mileage this summer so obviously the most aerobically fit.

    2) Rawling - Guy runs 140k weeks!!!!

    3) Neuffer - Guy runs 100k a week, bikes 1000k a week and swims 10k!!! If that doesn't say he is a pure aerobic monster I don't know what will.

    4) Wesselius - Guy beat Mike Tate in high school.

    5) Pevril - Guy ran 8:40 in high school! That is unbelievable

    6) Shanks - Guy went to world youth and ran 8:33 in high school!!

    7) Fuller - Biked more than most but less than others this summer. No nonsense grinder who could easily hang on to anyone in a 20k+ long run

Well that's not a very good guess. Just look at Mike Rogers from 2016, he ran way better at CIS than AUS and there are many more just like him.

"1- Cal Dewolfe: He is at his best by late October. Has progressed from Dal to Interlock. He will be on.

2- Angus Rawling: Easily has best track credentials. Though it does not perfectly translate, that type of 5k speed cannot be denied.

3- Lee Wesselius: Has been a consistent top 3-4 guy all year. He has enough running smarts and experience to FINALLY finish on the podium after four years of coming up short. (5-6-5-5)

4- Alex Neuffer: He blew a tire at Interlock, but sources say he's healthy. Hey, that's new!

5- Andrew Peverill: I know, I KNOW. First AUS finisher at Interlock and I rank him 5th. Truth be told, he will be racing against experienced vets. There are three weeks to go until AUS, and lots can happen in that time. The big players will progress. Rookies tend to fizzle out a bit. Plus, those guys all hold a winning record against him. (Andrew: IF you're reading, I hope you prove me wrong. Great race at Interlock! Give those geezers a run for their money!)

6- Paul MacLellan - Yup. Why not? He's been progressing. Big gap between 5 and 6, but he will win the race of the chase pack.

7- Graeme Wach - Could also finish in the top 4-5, but he hasn't brought anything to the table at other championship races. I hope he proves me wrong, because he has the ability.

8- Will Russell - Falls out of all-star team. Laughs at this memory in 4 months when he obliterates all these guys in the 1000 and 1500.

9- Mike Colford - Has been fizzling as of late, but he's too good to fall out of the top 10. He could be much higher.

10 - Angus MacIntosh - Beef Apple will round into form. He always does.

    Honorable Mentions: Cromack, Rogers, Drever

Dark Horse: Power, I guess. Is he still around?

    Team title -

    1- Dal
    2- StFX
    3- SMU

    Dark horse: UNB"

    You're forgetting about UofC!
Not only will pennock take the dub, they also have a shot at the team title. I mean, just look at those Idaho results.
    2 guys sub 24:00
    2 more sub 24:30
    3 more sub 25: 00

And when you get them down to sea level they're gonna drop another 30 sec off that, easy!

    Dark horse: Alex james
Dude runs like 8:30something off like 4 weeks of training!

    Team rankings:
    1) Dal *UofC if james trains for 4 weeks
    2)st.fx
    3)smu
    4)unb
    5)idk who cares
Last) UofC if james trains >4 weeks

Seriously! You dont know how good these UofC guys could be!

You are an idiot, James is actually way more talented than that. He ran 8:22 off of 2 weeks of training. If you are going to fake hype Calgary at least get your facts straight.

Also obviously Pennock would win the AUS if Calgary competed in it, and Calgary would hands down walk away with the team title with or without James.

If you honestly think that Calgary could beat UPEI then you are out of your mind. The only reason UPEI won't medal at USports is because they don't have the budget to send a team across the country.
