"Witkowicz turns 18 this year like Kemp, Desouza, or any other kid born in 2000.

Can't say how old the other you mentioned are.

You throwing in the towel in on Mota this year....why wait til 18? I realize we are only talking about the 1500m but Kemp and Desouza will mop him up. So I can see why you want to wait until his senior year."

Nick Mota (AKA the janitor) is the only one that will be mopping up. After his past big XC season he has been hitting the weights hard, he has speed now like never before and will run 1:52 this season MARK MY WORDS, I wouldn’t be surprised if he hits 3:45 ish aswell as low 8:00 in the 3k

Guys like B. Morgan, E. Esselink and C. Bellemore are already so good, but my bet is that we see them raise their game even more...Corey will go sub 3:40 this year, Evan will take double digits off his 10,000m time and Blair will go under 2:20 in his next marathon. Calling all 3 of those right now.

MARK MY WORDS none of those three will happen
MARK MY WORDS he will shatter his leg if those are his goals.

Hitting the weights, going vegan, waking up for 3am runs, switching back to boxers from briefs, cutting back on saturday morning cartoons or any other update won't change the above.

Guy ran 1:21 for 600m today, on a flat track. As a 10th grader, he beat all his college competition and was just a couple of seconds off the USports standard... Gotta say this looks very promising.

    DeVito is a SOLID BRO!
    VERY grounded!
He will indeed run fast after receiving some very "Smart" advice.

Respect to that guy. He is running great.

But, dude. How can you not be "just a couple of seconds off" ? It's a 600 ...

Well, dude, look at how many are within 2 seconds of the standard as of right now. Yes, it's very early in the season (for everybody), but only one USports athlete has run faster so far (by less than 1 tenth of a second at that). And, again, we are talking about a 10 grader, a 15-year-old, compared to athletes 3 to 7 years older...

I think the 800m Senior Boys race, is going to be a race that we must all look out. The two athletes to watch out for are Will McBride and Alonzo Ryan. Will and Alonzo had just begun to run fast respectively, and are still improving as both made OFSAA XC. With their raw speed and relative aerobic base, these two athletes are going to have a race which defines their high school career. It's only November 2017, it's a bit too early to be calling it. My prediction is that both of them are going to break the OFSAA record maybe Interscholastic record.

And how exactly can one just remain in high school? A victory lap lasts one semester, no?

They are a full two semesters, asking as you have 3 classes for that semester than you can compete in sports

Why do so many of you think it is just 1 semester?

Imma let all you high school track watchers finish, but all 3 of the dudes I mentioned had great races this weekend (Blair and Esselink scored big PBs in Houston, and Bellemore opened his season just shy of going sub 4 while hanging onto a pack with Nick Willis).

Anyone know if he is a Canadian citizen yet? He was incredible in 2016 as a youth, but regressed last year.
