    South Region declined its option to host. It’ll be either Metro, West or East hosting. The committee is waiting on a bid.

    Why would South Region decline to host?

    rumour is no one in South Region would commit to convening the meet. Heard that Metro will step in.

    I heard several rumours, but that is all they are, so no point dwelling, but as of today, no one from the South (SOSSA, GHAC and ROPSAA) has stepped forward to convene.

    Metro has a convenor in place for 2021 and they will be given the option of moving forward a year, but it is big task to get it all pulled together in less than a year.

    That said, huge credit to Rich Tremain and his crew for putting together OFSAA 2019. With the exception of the Javelin being held at St. James, the facility was excellent (for spectators, location of ACC) and at least from my standpoint , the meet was run very well.

    It'll be a tough act to follow.

    Would Love to see it at U of T again, especially with the new track.

    Just an opinion but I find best OFSAA track meets are held at Universities.
    West= Windsor/Western/Guelph
    South=McMaster would be awesome!
    North= Laurentian
    East= Ottawa/Carleton... Though TISS did a great job a few years back.
    Central= York
    Metro= U of T

    If you’re a thrower or a throws coach it will be easy. Give us a place with real circles, a legal and safe discus cage and a javelin competition that isn’t in a field in the middle of nowhere.

    The Guelph Stadium has such a fun atmosphere, and it’s nice being on a beautiful campus.

    If the East hosts I’d be alright with Belleville again. I really enjoy that track, even though it’s not the most fancy place in the world by any means. Carleton would also be fun. Personally I kind of hope it’s not at TISS. I like the track, and I was not there when they last hosted OFSAA, but there a few inconvenient things about the setup that I’m not a huge fan of. I also just find that there isn’t enough room.

    Throwers seem to get 2nd class treatment. They could have tried to cover Javelin on the broadcast being it was 5-7 minutes drive away and not accessible to all.

    If in Ottawa would be at Terry Fox (Neither university has a track) and would probably have help from Ottawa Lions coaches who are also teachers. Buddy might boy cot them.
