Canada will not send athletes to 2020 Olympics

https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/canada-not-sending-athletes-to-tokyo-olympics-unless-games-postponed-1.4863816

I think this is what many people thought would eventually happen. The USATF is also requesting a postponement of the Games. Hopefully, someone at the IOC is listening to them, as they are #1 t&f nation on the planet.

I think we will be seeing some lay offs at AC since there is no work to be done and the season is a write off. The good thing is I guess they can save money. EI is available

"It's heartbreaking news," Olympic champion wrestler Erica Wiebe said.

See it's not just the runners - it's those selfish wrestlers too.

IOC is just delaying the inevitable. The Games are off. People n Canada are being old to stay 2 metres away from people. How on earth can you hold a competition if that's the basic social distance guideline.

Wrestling certainly will be interesting to watch won't it!!

Interesting to see all the Canadian athletes responses. Most have been positive, and support the COC decision. But the number of athletes posting about the Olympics that don't have a shot in hell of qualifying based on PBs (looking at you West Hub) is hilarious
