CCAA Cross Country PREDICTIONS 2018

The CCAA predictions post was created a little while ago but I think it would be best if we made a fresh new one so that people aren't scrolling through a page to find it. This way its freshly made and ready for some positive iterative dialect between who believes will be the better individual and team from first through last. List your predictions here for this most exciting CCAA championship ever in all the land; my biased opinion.

Looking forward to hearing back from all of yall… Peace

Last Years Winner is back and running just as fast. Matt Travaglini will be very hard for anyone to beat again this year. Leonard Chesoo will be close behind. I think Kyle Rooke will be able to hang on for awhile, but he will get dropped later in the race. I do think he can come top 3. Andrew Brown is young and I believe if he trusts himself enough, he will be able to hang on and run with 2nd and 3rd. When it comes to teams, I'm going with Windsor. It will be very close with SAIT, but I do think Windsor has the edge with their top 4 runners.

in no particular order the ACAC will take the mens podium. They ran faster than all other conferences on what appears to be a VERY difficult course.

I think OCAA will be extremely competitive this year. SAIT is really 1 exceptional athlete followed up by nothing spectular. I must concede St.Clair looks fairly strong. If they didn’t fully blow their load their load at OCAA’s then it should be a fairly strong performance/ showing by them. Can’t speak much to RSEQ however was surprised to see Sherbrooke fall to third... is it the end of a Dynasty? We shall see. I do feel confident in saying that OCAA will have a strong showing. Very tough course ahead that is Seneca. LPT to runners running at nationals: don’t go out too hard, you WILL be punished.

I believe that in terms of placing of men’s teams: the biggest contenders for placing are:

    1. St. Clair /SAIT
    2. Garneau / Fanshawe
    3. Sherbrooke/ Champlain

I think entering this CCAA’s race that my two biggest dark horses are definitely both OCAA teams.

Both teams have shown great potential and if the runners are able to remain healthy, they can potentially pull of a massive upset against the publicly favoured SAIT and Garneau teams. In particular, I believe both

    Thador from St. Clair and,
    Luke Groulx from Fanshawe

Are the bigger individual dark horses. While thador shines amazingly bright during OCAA’s and Groulx looked lack luster- that both if can get past nerves and injuries (Possible rumour?) they can easily change the field and both bring much needed points.

*** Please excuse the OCAA bias.***

I predict Leonard Cheso will win. He will take the lead at the 4km mark and drop any runner that will be on his tail. I visualize, Cheso "the unbelievable Gazelle" will drop every runner including this Matt Travaglini everybody has been saying is unbeatable. They said the same tings then that there saying now, Cheso doesn't stand a chance...

They said the exact same ting about my fight against the so-called, supposively undefeated Brazilian Jose Aldo, "The Irishman stands no chance," - IT TOOK ME CHIRTEEN SECONDS.

I visualize the Gazelle Cheso, will drop each runner one by one by the 4th km. Regardless, he is an athlete with his phenomenal endurance he gained by training in the mountainous hills. He is prepared for entire 8km - its going to be a painful experience for the other guys gasping to keep up.

It will be a LONG 25 minutes on that cross country course out there, he can drop these runners from anywhere... sooner or later they are going to fall. One of those legs are going to be filled up with severe, severe lactate acid and that's all she wrote. CCAA History, Seneca College King Campus, Toronto Ontario, Canada - Cheso is CCAA champion - THE IRISH ARE BACK!
