Webb vs Knight
Who has more raw flat out talent: Justyn Knight or Alan Webb?
I've got to say a 21 year old Webb would no doubt take Knight down in any event on the track (800-10k). Knight just doesn't have that killer speed and speed/endurance that Webb has...Webb is like the Michael Phelps of running or the Usain Bolt of running....guys like him only come around every so often...It's a damn Shane that Webb had those injuries or he'd still be at the top

Knight is more talented. He took up running very late in life, and off low-mileage has been an NCAA XC Champ and IAAF World Champs finalist. Conversely, Webb ran some great times and great races, but those were more a result of his ridiculous training than innate ability.Quote comment
So far Webb has accomplished more, but I see Knight ending his career with the greater resume. Webb burnt himself out with his crazy training, and never really impressed at the World Champ/Olympic level.

Alberto, I'm getting tired of your smart ass responses. How about you give us your input about who had more raw flat out talent; Knight, or Webb? People forget just how good the guy was...in 2006 the guy went 27:34 for 10k not even training specifically for it then the next year he goes 1:43 in the 800 which for a 1500m guy is absolute insane wheels...I feel if Webb didn't get hurt and stayed with Razko he seriously could have won a medal in the 5000 in 2008 Olympics...The guy was an absolute weapon and had the total package...I feel for the guy...he had bad luck with injuries and just didn't have the same "spunk" after 2007...I feel Webb had the talent to break the USA 5000m record of 12:53, and even the 10k record. This post was edited by Distance Stud 1 year ago .Quote comment
