Is this official? Announced or published somewhere? Trails seem way too tight for a race of that scale?

Unofficial at this point, but Kelso is being considered. Should know for certain in the near future. Don't worry, hotels won't be an issue!

According the Convenor's facebook page it is confirmed as Christie Lake. Apparently there were issues with a start area at Kelso.

    See ya all in Dundas!

They better not put it at Kelso. If the organizers interfere with the cyclocross series even for one week, there will be hell to pay!

The CC dorks try to fudge with us at Centennial but clearly none of them grew up in Rexdale!

That was written as part of the 2017 Championship write up and should not be considered an official statement. At the time it went to print, Kelso was being considered, but it has been officially announced as Christie Lake in Dundas.

Thanks for clarifying, I'm not sure how I could have confused the article as an official statement as opposed to some official announcement that is somewhere announced.

will it be in Brampton for sure? If so it's likely going to be Chinguacousy park, David Suzuki is possible too. Last time OFSAA was in the south it was at St Marcellinus, Niagara also has a nice track, south regionals are typically there I think (can't remember name of the facility, only ran there once).

The OFSAA web site says the 2019 track and field meet is in Guelph. I have heard that it will be at the University of Guelph.

Lucky it's not at Kelso, start is way too tight and it's not a spectator friendly course... and sprinting down that ski hill at the end of the race is just asking for trouble.

I don't think spectator friendly equals a good XC course for athletes. Just look at Duntroon vs Kingston.

David Suzuki track is not suitable for any competition. No high jump, long jump, pole vault, steeplechase or throws facilities. It is merely a training track.
