Advanced Challenge
Challenge for Advanced Play, by members currently at the Intermediate level, will take place in Room 200 at the Canmore Rec Center ON THE FOLLOWING DATES AND TIMES:
Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM 2 spots available
Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM 2 spots available
Friday, May 9, 2025, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM 2 spots available
Friday, May 9, 2025, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM 2 spots available
To be successful, candidates must achieve a score of 21 or more points during a Round Robin with and against three Advanced players.
Intermediate Challenge are for those currently at the Novice level who are challenging to move up to Intermediate 3.0
Assessments for Intermediate 3.0 will take place in Room 200 at the Canmore Rec Center ON THE FOLLOWING DATES AND TIMES:
Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 1:00 AM - 2:30 PM 8 spots available
Friday, May 9, 2025, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM 8 spots available
This Assessment requires participants to demonstrate competency of seven shots: forehand, backhand deep serve, deep return of serve, controlled dinking, volley and the drop shot. This will be followed by game play during which assessors will evaluate the participants’ skill competency required for Intermediate 3.0 play
Sign ups will open on April 13, at 8:00 AM. Wait Lists are available for each session.
NOTE In the 2025 Membership year, the first challenge by a member is at no cost.
However, any subsequent Challenge in the year will be at a cost of $10.00 to cover court costs.
