BVPA 2024 Outdoor Ladder (B) Registration

Hi all,

The 2nd ladder sessions will start on:
Mon. July 29th, run weekly until Mon. Sep. 09, and will be held at the Larch Courts from 6:30pm- 8:00pm.
and
Wed. Jul. 31, will run weekly until Wed. Sep. 11, and will be held at Veterans Courts from 12:30pm - 2:00pm (Aug.) or 12:00- 1:30pm (Sep.).

Registration for ladder play will start on Sat. July 13 and will end on Fri. July 19.

If we are required to cap the registration of the ladders, first priority will be given to those members who did not participate in the first session of ladders.

Please remember you can only register for either the Mon. or Wed. ladder and you register before you can sign up for the weekly sessions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO JOIN ONE OF OUR LADDERS

You must commit to playing in your Ladder at least one half (50%) of the Ladder sessions. Be sure you can commit to playing regularly before you sign up.

Because we are testing the use of DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) as potentially our platform for future ratings information, you will need to sign up for your individual DUPR account. Sign up is easy and free. https://dashboard.dupr.com/login

Posting of the scores will be handled by Sue Cowitz. Thanks Sue!!

More detailed information about the Ladders will be sent to those who sign up for a Ladder Pool once the Ladder Pools are confirmed.

This is a new play format for us and we may need to make changes once we see how many members want to play in Ladders.

WHAT IS A LADDER?

A ladder is a format designed for players who want to challenge themselves and compete against other players of similar ability.

The format is designed so that players play others of similar skill level. A player’s ladder position is based on their winning percentage (ratio of points won to total points possible). Players will move up or down on the ladder based upon their winning percentage.

Thanks.
