Community Race (OUA X-Cntry 2025)

Queen's University will be hosting the Ontario University Cross Country Championships on 25 October 2025. The championship races will take place on the renowned Fort Henry X-Country course. The Championship races will take place at 1100 and 1200 on that day. 

The Kingston Road Runners Association (KRRA) and Queen's University are excited to co-host a community race that will take place at 0900 on the same day. The community race will be 4km in distance and will use the same course as the university runners.

The entry fee is only $10 and all profits generated will go to charity. There are no awards but there will be bragging rights for Open (39 and under), Masters (40 and over) and a special Queen's Alumni category (Please check the indication box). Come race and then watch some phenomenal university cross country runners in action.

Online Registration will be available until 23 Oct at 11:59 PM. There will be no race day registration available.

Date and Timings:

The In-Person Race takes place on Saturday October 25, 2025 at Fort Henry, Kingston ON. Bib pickup starts at 8:00 am,  Race starts at 9:00am.

RELEASE WAIVER AND INDEMNITY

Kingston’s Race Series waiver ACKNOWLEDGMENT, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, and RELEASE of LIABILITY: In consideration of Kingston Road Runners Association accepting my entry in this running event (hereinafter “the Event”), I, the below undersigned, intending to be legally bound, for myself, my heirs, my executors and administrators, agree as follows:


AS A CONDITION of my participation in the Event, I ASSUME ALL RISK of personal injury.

WAIVER: In consideration of your accepting my entry, or the entry of my child or ward, I, for myself, my heirs, my child or ward, my executors, and administrators of those of my child or ward, do hereby release and forever discharge the City of Kingston, the race directors and race committee, sponsors, or their representatives, agents and employees, competitors and persons associated with the event from and against any kind of actions, claims, and costs with respect to death, injury, loss or damage, occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to the event, to my person or property however caused and not withstanding that the same may have contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of any of the aforementioned.

In-Person:

Kingston’s In-Person Race Series waiver ACKNOWLEDGMENT, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, and RELEASE of LIABILITY: In addition to the above conditions, to participate in Anniversary Run 10km road race, I, accept all rules and regulations of the event and will comply fully with them. I am aware of the risk of "adverse weather and road conditions", which may accompany the event on the day of my participation. I understand that I should not participate in this event unless: 1) I am in excellent physical condition, 2) I have trained adequately for this event, and 3) I have no medical condition that might be worsened by my participation in this activity.

*** COVID-19 ***:

You guarantee that should you acquire COVID-19 or exhibit any symptoms and you have registered for an 'in-person' event, you will not appear at the event on race day. You will not be provided a refund or deferral. Knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive, release and discharge Anniversary Run 10km In-Person Road Race and all its officials, volunteers (including medical volunteers), The Landings Golf Course or any other persons involved in the event from any and all claims of liability, damages with respect thereto. This release extends to all claims of every kind and nature whether foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown. I declare that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in the Anniversary Run 10km Road Race and assume all risks associated with such participation. Further, I also agree to abide by the decision of race officials regarding my continuing in the Anniversary Run 10km Road Race whether based on failure to comply to rules or any other reason.
