Speed Tech for athletes in grades 3-7!
Kajaks Track & Field Club is excited to offer specialized speed development programming for athletes involved in other sports in support of their training and athletic development AND track & field athletes who want to prep for the upcoming competitive season!
Athletes can expect to cover these aspects of running:
• Sprinting Biomechanics
• Reaction time and starting mechanics
• Drive and acceleration phases
• Rhythm and quick movement training
• Dynamic flexibility and mobility
• Refinement of Mach Drills (A’s, B’s, C’s)
• Prehab
2026 June Speed Tech will take place at Clement Track in Minoru Park and is for athletes in grades 3-7 who want to run faster!
Individual athletes who want to improve their speed and agility skills to enhance their performance in their favourite sport can join this 5-session program.
• June 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th - 4 sessions
• Tuesday, 6:15pm-7:30pm
• $125.00, payable online with a 5% convenience fee or by etransfer to info@kajaks.ca (security word: orange)
• Kajaks expectations: athletes who register for Speed Tech are coachable, keen to learn, respectful of their team-mates and prepared to run!
These dynamic short programs are also available for team bookings. Teams are encouraged to contact info@kajaks.ca for full details of schedules, fees and options to host a Speed Tech session exclusively for your whole team.
Speed Tech is coached by Coach Michaela Colluney - a Kajaks high performance Hurdles and Sprints Coach who designed the current Speed Tech program.
