Allendale and Zone Track Meets 2016

Purpose or Educational goal:
Students will first be competing in the 2016 Allendale Track and Field Meet at Rollie Miles Atheltic Park (Strathcona High School - 10450 - 72 Ave.) in Edmonton. This is a seeding event for the Zone and City track meets and is a required element of the Physical Education curriculum.
Students who qualify from the Allendale Track Meet will be taking part in the Zone Track and Field Championships on Tuesday, May 24 at Foote Field (11601 68 Ave).
Students who qualify from the Zone Track and Field Championships will be taking part in the City Track and Field Championship on Tuesday May 31 at Rollie Miles Atheltic Park (Strathcona High School - 10450 - 72 Ave.).
By signing this form, parents are consenting to allow their child to attend ALL events if their child qualifies to advance.
Proposed Itinerary:
Students will walk from Allendale to Rollie Miles Athletic Park (Strathcona High School) shortly after announcements on Friday, May 13. They will return on foot at 2:30 pm.
For students who qualify, the Zone Track Meet will run on Tuesday, May 24 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Students will be driven by bus and will return on the bus to Allendale School at 3:00 pm unless prior arrangements are made for students to be picked up or to leave directly from Foote Field. Parents must provide a note if students are not taking the bus back from Foote Field to Allendale.
For students who qualify, the City Track Meet will run on Tuesday, May 31 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Students will be responsible for finding their own way to and from the event.
