This Athletics in-person workshop is designed for coaches working with athletes 16yrs old and above who compete in a specifically in Throws. The focus of Club Coach is on Training to Train and it falls into the NCCP Competition Pathway.
In addition to learning advanced technical progressions for all of the Throwing events, coaches will also learn:
1. Strength Training,
2. Program Planning & Design, and
3. How to Manage a Sports Program.
LOCATION, DATE & TIME: it will be held in Red Deer, Alberta from 10:00a - 6:30p on Saturday April 25th and from 9:00a - 6:30p on Sunday April 26th.
Prior to attending this Athletics Club Coach Workshop, coaches must take the online Athletics module called Foundations of Coaching. FOC is available on April 7-9-14th from 7:00 - 9:30pm. Attendance at all 3 sessions is mandatory.
