KRRA - Resolution Run 2026

The Kingston Road Runners Association invites you to start your year off right with a fun 4K or 8K run and to help charity Lionhearts!

Sunday January 4, 2026, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The 8K is a KRRA Series' points race. The 4K is for fun only!

Ages 10-11 and up can register for the 4K run, ages 12 and up can register for the 8k run, ages are based on race day (January 5, 2026) in accordance to Athletics Canada.

Race Kit Pickup commencing at 08:30 am at Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Road, Kingston, ON, K7M 9G4

Parking, warm area, and Top 3 Mens and Womens awards (no Age Group medals) (post race) at Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Road, Kingston, ON, K7M 9G4

Race Start and Finish a short walk away at RG Sinclair public School, 19 Crerar Boulevard, Kingston, ON K7M 3P7

Race route is an out and back of 2km in each direction, run twice for The 8k Run/Race and only once for the 4K Fun Run. Mass start: We ask the 4K Fun Runners start behind the 8k Runners.

Please note, this event runs rain or shine, snow or sleet. Weather and road conditions board will be at the Start Finish line. Please run to the conditions - the goal is to have fun!

Please, NO dogs or strollers will be permitted during the race, no exceptions, for safety reasons.

Proceeds from the race will be donated to Lionhearts Inc. See https://www.lionhearts.ca/kingston/ for more information regarding this charity and their community programs, which include food services and bank, warming centers for homeless, and human trafficking victim support services, and other community resources.

Included with your race registration is a finisher medal, special for the Resolution Run!

Registration for the in-person race ends on Friday January 2, 2026 at 11:59:59 (midnight) to accommodate timing system data transfer.

There will be NO race day registration for the event.
