Intermediate Level - Control on Rock Rolls and Steeper Terrain with Matt Woods
This clinic is geared towards intermediate level riders who want to learn the techniques to confidently descend rock rolls, rock slabs and navigate steeper terrain.
It will teach body position, breaking, speed control and line choice required to help you ride more advanced trail features with confidence and control.
Clinic Requirements: Before registering for this clinic riders should be comfortable riding most blue trails and have an interest in venturing onto darker blue and black rated trails.
Clinic Logistics: This 3 hour, bilingual, small group clinic will be held at Mont Ste Marie. Meet Matt and your group mates at 9:45am at the Velo MSM hut in front of the Mont Ste Marie Lodge.
About the Coach: Matt Woods is a PMBIA and FQSC certified mountain bike instructor. In addition to offering clinics for VeloMSM, he coaches the local Skinouk Enduro Program. He has mentored and coached local aspiring gravity racers for two decades. He has over a decade of gravity racing experience at the local, provincial and national level with multiple podiums to show for it. Whether your goal is to go fast or simply gain more control, Matt is happy to help you achieve your goals.
