Exhibition Relays
This year we are going to be giving the interested schools an opportunity for some relay work at the regional meet. There will be no fee for these relays.
When the final 1500m is completed the schools that registered for the exhibition relays will be called to come down to the finish line area of the track. Some ASEA coaches will explain to everyone the 4 x 100 & 4 x 400 exchanges zones and the cut in for the 4 x 400m. They will then explain the basic exchanges for both relays. Athletes will then have a few minutes to practice those exchanges with a partner.
Then each team will have an opportunity to run one relay that will be hand timed. We will have officials at each exchange zone to explain if mistakes are made.
We anticipate that this will take about 75 minutes.
Competition Start Times
8:30am - coach’s meeting on the track ( have cheque & volunteer with you)
8:50am - Junior Boys discus begins
9:00am - Full schedule begins ( schedule well on https://live.iatt.ca/meets/530... , is posted on trackie & will be in your school package )
