Rowan Dean Passion for Sport Scholarship
After Rowan died we wanted to create something meaningful that would help keep is memory alive and celebrate Rowan's love of running. The team at North Grenville District High School created The Rowan Dean Passion for Sport award. This award recognizes graduating students from North Grenville DHS who demonstrate passion for sport and want to pursue their academic and athletic goals. We created this annual race as a way to not only honour and celebrate our son Rowan, but also to fundraise in order to support these young adults. 100% of the funds raised through Run for Rowan will go into the scholarship fund. The award was presented to 13 graduating students this past spring, and we hope to be able to do the same in spring of 2026.
