2019 has been Ryan Smeeton's year. After being sidelined for quite a chunk of 2018 with injury, the steeplechaser came back this year to knock out an early pb of 8:41, only to turn around a few weeks later and win the Payton Jordan race with a time of 8:27.9, a world championship standard besting time. This week we chat with Ryan, the Calgarian at Oklahoma State University, about hitting times he didn't even consider, hearing from the masters of the sport and a lot more.
