Everyone loves an underdog story...the classic Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed, Giants vs. Patriots, and going back even further, David vs. Goliath. It's the little guy, rising up to the challenge and knocking it out when it counts... there's just something about these stories that seem to capture our hearts and minds. Now, a couple of weekends ago at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon we saw 2 real underdogs get their well deserved redemption: Leslie Sexton, after a few less than successful attempts at the marathon, bested her former PB by minutes, capturing 2nd in the Canadian Women's' championship and John Mason; carpenter, farmer and runner, flying in way under the radar to capture 3rd on the Men's side. Both join me on this week's episode!
