For nearly 50 years, The Royal Canadian Legion has supported young Canadians through track and field competition. Legion Nationals is Canada’s premier and only national championship for U16 and U18 athletes, bringing together close to 1,000 young competitors each year to compete for Canadian championship medals.

Entry fees and deadlines
DEADLINE: July 26, 2026
- First Event: $65.00
- Second Event: $55.00
- Additional Events: $20.00
- Relays: $55.00
- Coaches: $25.00
The athlete entry deadline is Sunday July 26 at 11:59pm Pacific time (must be entered online with payment completed). All entries are non-refundable. There will be a three-day period for late entries as outlined within the technical package; please be aware of the cost increase as outlined there. There are absolutely no exceptions to add an event or participant following the late entry timelines.
Coaches:
Coaches only do not have a late deadline and can register up to July 29 by 11:59pm PT.
Open Coaches must be NCCP Trained Club Coach to receive accreditation; they will be removed from the accreditation system if they do not meet the requirements. Without the proper qualifications, coaches will need to purchase tickets for spectator entrance and be limited to those areas.
Special Notice: It is strongly recommended that coaches work towards their NCCP Club Coach Certification. Certification is increasingly recognized as the standard to ensure coaches are fully prepared to support athletes in a competitive environment. With the time and planning required in mind, we encourage completion of this training (from trained to certified) in alignment with Athletics Canada guidelines as we work towards future implementation.
