This event is largely a TETC event but is open to the entire community as it is aimed at supporting Community Care with donations.
*HOLIDAY 5K*
Cost: $20 per runner + a minimum donation of a non-perishable food item, toy, or clothing item
On-site registration is also permitted
Additional donations will be accepted and can be made by clicking on a registered participant's name.
Registration and Bib number pick up starts at 11:00 am at McMillan Park in Thorold. You can use the field at the park to warm up.
Race start is 12:25 pm. Runners will begin in waves based on seed time.
Race will take place on the Welland Canal Trail and will finish on the path at the Lock 7 Viewing Centre. You go down the path to the bridge, turn around and then race up to the finish by the polar bear.
You are encouraged to wear a Santa hat, reindeer ears, elf hat, ugly Christmas shirt, etc. to show your holiday spirit.
Hot chocolate will be available at McMillan Park for all participants following the race.
AWARDS: There will be medals and prizes. Categories TBD.
