Athletics in Canada Day is debuting in Selkirk, Manitoba! Join us on June 15th at Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School as we showcase the sport of athletics - including running, jumping, throwing, and wheeling! The event will consist of a series of instructional try-it sessions, led by certified athletics coaches, lunch provided, fun relays to end the day! No experience necessary.
To alleviate barriers to sport, we will have busses leaving from Winnipeg in the morning and heading to Selkirk, and returning once the event is complete. There will be accessible transport from Winnipeg as well! We encourage participants from all walks of life for this event - and tell your friends!
This event is open to participants aged 8-108!
This event is FREE, and is made possible by the Athletics For All grant program from Athletics Canada, and by the Government of Canada’s Community Sport for All Initiative.
Registration is highly encouraged for this event to ensure we have enough food ordered! More information will be sent out one week prior to the event date.
