THE WHAT?
What is a Pod Meet? A pod meet is all about participation and less focused on just winning. The idea is to provide kids an opportunity to try track and field in a fun, non-competitive environment. Participants will have a chance to try Long Jump, Triple Jump, Sprints, Hurdles, Distance, Relay, Shot Put, Javelin
THE HOW?
Participants are placed into groups (pods). Those groups will begin at an event and given an opportunity to to participate. You can try as many times as you want during the time-frame. When it’s time to switch the groups will move to the next station and get to try that station.
THE WHY?
BECAUSE TRACK & FIELD IS AMAZING! It has something for everyone and is the basis for every sport!! We at AO love it so much we want EVERYONE to experience how much fun it can be.
