There is an interesting paradox with running in a competitive setting. I think we've all been there...on the bad end of a workout or race, or a season that just isn't going well and you want nothing more than to pack it in and call it quits on running all together. But when it does come time for you to take a break, whether self imposed or otherwise, it only serves as a reminder of all the good things that come from stepping on the start line and all that comes before and after that moment. This week I have 2 guests who know those feelings all too well. Alex Wilkie got some brutal news last year that brought his running to a screeching halt...we talked about staying positive and maybe a comeback for this gutsy runner in the future. Also, we chatted with Emily Setlack, who took a step back from the sport when she seemed to be on the verge of a breakthrough a few years ago, she's back in 2016 with a Canadian Half marathon and NACAC 10k championship to show for her comeback.
