Pictures indicate Natasha wearing Nike bottoms and an unknown top (no obvious branding). Another victim of the post-Olympic year decline in sponsorship?

    Confused.... said 5 years ago

I found that odd as well when I saw that. It appears as though she is still listed as an Asics athlete on the Asics Canada site (which has already removed Cliff from this group online).

Here, at one point, she says, "almost quit."

that quote was in regards to her surgery/injury issues. No clear connection there to sponsorship, nor was there any mention of sponsorship (or lack thereof) in the interview

Correct, there was no clear indication as to specifically why she was considering quitting, but she did say it around the injury issue. But knowing her, it is not just the injury, that was a main factor. She has also not been carded and has several injuries over the years, plus is in her mid-30s, this is when you typically contemplate these thoughts of quitting/retiring. The word "quitting" does suggest a negative connotation over "retiring", but in the end its the same - some are forced to retire - she had surgery, which says that she is willing to have a go at Worlds and perhaps Commonwealths? Guessing on the latter.

Anyway, there are a few other interviews including having Dunfee and Thorne talk about sort of saving the 50K from extinction at least until Japan 2020 and part of that is getting women more involved in that event....
