Bow Valley Pickleball Association

COMPLAINT & CONFLICT RESOLUTION

The BVPA mission is to develop pickleball as a sport for all in the Bow Valley by promoting the health, physical and social well-being of its members through offering organized recreational and competitive play in an atmosphere of collegiality and sportsmanship. However, disagreement or disputes may occasionally arise between members. The BVPA has developed a Complaint & Conflict Resolution Policy for addressing issues at both an informal and formal level. The intent of this policy is to follow a process that is transparent, respectful, and resolves a conflict or complaint quickly, fairly and without reprisal.

Informal: If a person or persons experience a club-related conflict with another member, the complainant should first attempt to resolve the matter directly with the respondent. In some circumstances, one or both parties may seek the assistance of a BVPA Board designated Board member to guide this informal process.

Formal: A complainant wishing to initiate a formal conflict resolution process must submit a written complaint to the BVPA Board of Directors. A formal complaint form will be posted on the website soon. In the interim, complainants can simply document the facts of the conflict through email or letter.
